Matt Pont at the Stallingbrough office was awarded for the extraordinary effort and support he has shown during work.

Security manager Dave wrote:

Matt Pont is a security officer based at our Stallingbrough office (NE Lincolnshire). During a medical emergency incident recently, we were informed by the ambulance service that a 2+ hour delay was expected. The condition of the casualty was life threatening so a decision by the site’s Emergency Response and Occupational Health team was made to transport the casualty ourselves to hospital. A request was made to the duty security officers to drive and supply our vehicle for this emergency, and to his great credit, Matt Pont immediately volunteered.

The journey to the local hospital was not without its complications, the casualty’s condition was sadly very unstable but throughout the journey, Matt retained his usual calm and professional composure. It is by no small measure, that the casualty’s condition and his ongoing recovery was significantly aided by the fact we were able to get him to hospital so quickly. Together with members of the ERT, Matt played a critical part in helping to save the casualties life that day.
